TalentLMS lets you build a well-designed, mobile-friendly homepage for your learning portal without any additional coding, third-party integration or cost. With our easy-to-use homepage editor you can:
- Brand your homepage
- Use Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons to direct users to different pages and/or sites.
- Feature specific courses on the landing page
- Add as many pages as you need
- Control what your visitors see before and after signing in

To learn how to make the most of your homepage, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Add a custom homepage to your portal
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Home > Account & Settings > Homepage (1).
2. If you are using the simple login page click to Build your custom homepage (2).
Step 2: Edit the “external” homepage
1. Hover the mouse over the first section to reveal the Edit section (1) button.
2. On the Edit banner dialog box, you can type a new Headline and Subtitle (2).
3. Check Add divider below this section (3) to add a line and separate two sections.
4. Then, click Select image (4) to upload your own banner artwork.
5. Add the text you’d like to appear on the Call-to-Action (CTA) button and the URL (5) and then choose where on the page the CTA should go (6)
6. Click Update section (7) to save your changes and return to the custom homepage builder.
Step 3: Adding Featured courses section (optional)
You can also add a section with courses that will be displayed on your custom homepage.
1. Hover the mouse over the second section to reveal the Edit section (1) button.
2. On the Edit course gallery dialog box, type a Headline and a Subtitle (2).
3. Check Add divider below this section (3) to add a line and separate two sections.
4. Then, from the Courses dropdown list (4) select the courses you want to display.
Note: You can add up to 12 courses. |
5. Click Update section (5) to save your changes and return to the custom homepage builder.

Step 4: Create a new page for the menu
1. Click Edit menu (1).
2. From the Edit Homepage menu dialog box, click Add (2) and, from the drop-down list, choose Add page (3).
3. In the Title (4) field, type the title of your new page (e.g., FAQ).
4.Type a URL (5) path to be added to your current domain (e.g., faq).
5. In the Show (6) checklist:
- Check Before login for your page to be displayed to guests.
- Check After login for your page to be displayed to registered users after signing in.
- Check both for your page to be displayed to all visitors.
6. Click Add page (7) to save your changes.
Here’s how your new FAQ page shows on the page list (1):
Close the pop up, and click on the new tab (2) (e.g. FAQ) to add content and more sections to this page.
You can have multiple sections of:
- Banners
- Text
- Text and media
- Featured courses
- Key points
Note: You can add Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons on Banners or sections with Text and Media. CTA buttons help move users to new pages or direct them to take a specific action. |
Step 5: Create a menu entry for an external URL
Alternatively, you can add a menu entry that points to an external website:
1. Click Edit menu (1).
From the Edit Homepage menu dialog box, click Add (2) and, from the drop-down list, choose Add link (3).
2. In the Title (4) field, type the title of your new page (e.g., FAQ).
3. Type an external URL (5) (e.g., https://www.talentlms.com/blog/).
4. From the Show checklist (6), choose whether your menu entry will be available Before login, After login, or both.
5. Click Add link (7) to save your changes.
