TalentLMS lets you lock course content, so it cannot be edited by anyone who does not have permission. This option is available for Administrators and Course owners.
The Course owner is the person who created the course and can be an Instructor user type. When a Course owner with Instructor user-type locks the content, they are unable to edit the content. To edit content, they will need to unlock the content.
To have the option to lock the course content, Course owners and Administrators need to have the relevant permission on their Instructor role to Update a Course (1).
How to lock your course content
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to the Course’s content page that you wish to lock.
2. Click the more symbol (1).
3. From the drop-down list, choose Lock course content (2).
When you lock the content, a lock icon (3) is displayed next to the more symbol.
The options to add, edit, or reorder units are hidden (4). But Instructors are still able to access Assignment submissions, the option to add Users to ILT units, and the option to print the Test and Survey unit questions (5).
Note: When a course is locked, its units cannot be cloned or linked to another course. |
When course content is locked and you hover over the lock icon, a tooltip (6) appears with the following message: "This course's content is locked and cannot be edited. It can only be unlocked by the course owner or an administrator."
