TalentLMS lets you use a series of smart tags in both your custom notifications and certifications to pull personalized data from your system, including a user’s score in a specific course.

Here’s how to add course scores to your automated emails and certificates:

A. In your notifications

1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator, go to Home > Events engine (1) and click Add notification.

2. Give your notification a Name and, from the Event drop-down list, choose one of the following events (e.g., On course completion):

• On course completion
• X hours after course completion
• On course failure
• On course expiration
• X hours before course expiration
• On certification acquisition
• On certification expiration
• X hours before course expiration

3. From the Receiver drop-down list, choose a recipient for your notification (e.g., Related user).
4. In the Body text area, type your notification text and click the Average Course Score (2) smart tag to include the course score (i.e., {course_avg_score}) in your message.

5. Click Create notification to update your settings.

B. In your certifications

1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Home > Account & Settings > Certifications.
2. From the Certification drop-down list, choose the certification you want to add the course score to and go to the Template tab.
3. Click the Average Course Score (3) tag to add the course score (i.e., {course_avg_score}) in your text (i.e., the text wrapped inside the <span> HTML tags).
4. Click Update to save your settings.
