TalentLMS lets you re-certify your users with custom certificates each time they complete a course. Users who need to renew their certification for a course can retake it while their old certification is still valid.
That's useful in cases where you need your learners to retake courses to update their knowledge or as a regulatory requirement, and you don’t want to leave them without accreditation for the amount of time it takes for them to retake the course.
Here’s how to allow users to retake a course before a certification expires:
1. Go to Home > Courses, and click a course to edit.
2. On the Course tab, navigate to Certification (1).
3. Once you have chosen the preferred certification template, in the Certification duration drop-down list, choose for how long your certification is to remain valid (2) (e.g., 6 months).
4. Tick Re-assign course to user (3) and from the drop-down list, choose when the course will be reassigned to users (4).
Note: If the certification duration is for 1 month, you can only reassign the course to users one week before certification expiration or on certification expiration. |
