To keep all your scheduled activities in one place, TalentLMS lets you sync your portal calendar to your preferred external calendar app by using the iCal feed format.
Most calendar apps (i.e., Google Calendar, Outlook.com calendar, Yahoo! Calendar, etc.) and desktop applications (i.e., Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) support the iCal calendar feed format (i.e., iCalendar or ICS).
To import your TalentLMS calendar to one of those apps, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Instructor or Learner and, on the right-hand panel, click Calendar.
2. Click Export (1) and, from the drop-down list, choose Private address (2).
3. On the Export calendar with a private address dialog box that pops up, copy the provided URL and click Close.
That’s the private URL of your calendar feed to use for importing your schedule into external calendar apps.
Note: Anyone with access to the private feed URL has access to your daily schedule. If you have reasons to believe that the URL has been shared with non-authorized parties, go to the Export calendar with a private address dialog box and click Reset address. When you reset the URL, all your existing private calendar feeds are deactivated. To activate them again, you have to update your external apps with your new private URL. |
4. Sign in to your external calendar app and add your TalentLMS calendar through your feed URL.
Here’s how to do it in five widely used applications:
