By default, all users assigned the TalentLMS Learner-type can only message the administrators, their course instructors or their co-members in courses, groups or branches.
However, you can revoke a user’s permission to message their co-learners entirely. Here’s how:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Home > User types.
2. Click Learner-type.
3. On the nested multi-level list, under General, click Messages.
4. On the checklist, uncheck ... and to course, branch, group members (1).

5. Click Save to update the Learner-type.
