TalentLMS allows you to create new user profiles manually in various ways.
Some of them are:
- Adding users one by one
- Importing data to mass add users
- Connecting TalentLMS to your SSO provider
- Integrating TalentLMS with your HRIS system
To ensure that new users will be created manually:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator and go to Account & Settings (1).
2. Navigate to Users (2) and from the dropdown menu choose Manually (from Admin) as the Sign-up method (3).
3. Click Save to make your settings take effect.
Note: When you create your portal, the default user sign-up method is set to Manually (from Admin) and the default user type is set to Learner-Type. There are no preset password settings, but you can adjust them according to your needs. See how in this article. |
Then, back on your portal’s main dashboard, click Add user (4) to start adding users one by one, or, navigate to Import - Export (5) to add multiple users to your portal at once.
Note: Usernames and emails must be unique for each user. |
To integrate your TalentLMS portal with your SSO provider:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator and go to Account & Settings (1).
2. Navigate to Users (2). At the end of the page choose the SSO standard you wish to use from the SSO integration type drop-down menu (3).
To integrate TalentLMS with your HRIS system:
- If your HRIS system is BambooHR, you can use the native TalentLMS and BambooHR integration. Follow these steps to establish the connection between the two.
- If your HRIS system is Sage People, you need to sync with an FTP server. To do this, see this article.
- If you are using a different HRIS system, you need to utilize the API of your TalentLMS portal. Learn more about working with the API in this article.
Instead of creating users manually, you can allow users to self-register by following this article.
Note: Regardless of the chosen user profile creation method, you can always add users individually to your portal, or, perform a mass user import. If you have integrated SSO, API, or SFTP, users can still be signed up with this method. |
