Improvements
- COURSES: Moved to the new Box infrastructure for document viewing. This will provide better rendering support for PPTs, PDFs and Docs.
- COURSES: Can now upload files directly from Google Drive to TalentLMS. This article describes how you can do this.
- CERTIFICATIONS: A number of modern Certificate templates have been added.
- CERTIFICATIONS: "Course score" (the average score of passed tests and assignments) can be added as a tag on certifications and notifications. You can find out more in this article.
- REPORTS: Users progress has been enhanced with time spent and date completed for each unit. This information is displayed on the mouse over in the Course and User reports. More information can be found in this article.
- ASSIGNMENTS: Previous attempts for assignments will be displayed. Find out how you can view these attempts in this article.
- USABILITY: Integration with Codemirror for editing on HTML mode or editing additional CSS and Javascript.
- AUTOMATIONS: New automations added to achieve better support for various compliance scenarios:
- Z hours after course X failure, assign course(s) Y
- Z hours after course X completion, with a score between K and L, assign course(s)
- REPORTS: The following events will be registered and displayed on the timeline:
- When a Course’s rules are changed
- When a course is copied from one domain to another (note, this can only be done by the owner of the target domain). You can visit this article for more information.
- When a user logs in through the mobile app
- GAMIFICATION: The learner’s level is advanced after adding points manually.
- SURVEYS: Survey responses are now displayed directly in the excel cells rather than within a comment.
- API: Possibility of removing a user from a branch through the API.
- NOTIFICATIONS: Course filter on the notification "X hours before certification expiration": this will allow you to make a notification apply for a particular course.
- USABILITY: Additional CSS / JS will be available as tabs on Accounts & Settings >> Themes
- USABILITY: When a new test question is created, it is automatically assigned to the current test on saving.
- CUSTOM FIELDS: New option to make a custom field available only for the main domain.
- REPORTS: A way to filter users with specific values on specific custom fields is available, under Custom Reports
- ILT: Mass grading is now possible from the ILT overview panel with all pending users (instructor's main screen). Additionally, from that screen it is possible to go to a session by clicking on it (the second can be done on the Assignments overview panel in addition)
- USABILITY: A learner status column has been added on the following view: “Instructor > Course > Users tab”
- USABILITY: Discussion replies can be sorted on an Ascending / Descending order based on the date & likes.
- MARKETPLACE: Marketplace courses can be sorted based on rating.
- MARKETPLACE: The course provider is visible in the Marketplace and can be used as a filter.
- AUTOMATIONS: The automation "Deactivate a user if Z hours have passed since last login" will also take into account users who have never logged in using their date of registration
- USABILITY: Spaces are now allowed for custom theme & certificate names.
- LANGUAGES: TalentLMS is available in Persian.
- USABILITY: Simplified Login Screen – Removed the “Remember me” option.
- REPORTS: Average scores in tests and SCORM reports will now be displayed with two decimal digits.
Bug fixes
- Analysis tab on SCORM reports – a bug fix that improves performance.
- A bug preventing the login process from working in certain cases, is now fixed.
- Bug fix relating to Direct + Admin activation: now when a user signs up to the portal with any social media, the user is added to the system as inactive and must await admin activation.
- Bug fix regarding the recurring calendar events, the start time of an event will no longer be affected by the DST change.
- Bug fixed so that now, when a user's progress gets reset the Tin Can activity state will also get cleared.
- The bug issue involving signing up with Facebook, has now been fixed.
- The time limit and prerequisites for a course will now not apply to the instructors of that course.
- Bug fixed so that now, when saving additional CSS on the theme, CSS comments are no longer automatically stripped out from the code.
- Usually, if a user stays more than 3 hours in a unit the system will log them out as the session cookie expires after 3 hours. An exception has been made for this big in regards to units that contain videos longer than 3 hours.
- When Zoom meetings are created through an ILT unit, the host is now the instructor selected through the ILT form, which was not the case before.
- The character limit in custom recipients field on the scheduled reports has now been extended to support more than 630 characters
- When the status of an assignment or ILT unit is changed to “pending” the “Assignment / ILT graded” notification will not be triggered as before.
- Australia has 2 separate timezone options for Darwin & Adelaide due to the DST differences, which did not exist previously. .
- Users will be enrolled to courses with their default user-type role e.g. If a user has "Instructor" as his default role, then they will have this role on any newly assigned courses. If a user has "Administrator" as their default role, then they will be assigned as an Instructor to the courses (assuming they have the Instructor role).
- Instructor/Courses/Users/View permission is not required anymore for viewing and grading ILT users.
