TalentLMS lets you recertify your users with custom certificates each time they complete a course. Users who need to renew their certification can retake the course while their old certification is still valid.
This is useful in cases where you need your Learners to retake courses to update their knowledge or as a regulatory requirement and don’t want to leave them without accreditation for the amount of time it takes them to retake the course.
Here’s how to allow users to retake a course before certification expires:
1. As an Administrator or an Instructor, go to Home > Courses (1), and click to edit a course (2).
2. On the Course tab, click the Course options (3)
3. Navigate to the Certificate tab (4)
4. Select the preferred certification Type (e.g., Classic) (5). You can also select the Preview (6) button to have a preview of your certificate.
5. In the Duration drop-down list, choose for how long your certification will remain valid for (7) (e.g., 6 months).
6. Select a timeframe (8) for the option to Re-assign course to user and choose when the course will be assigned to the user again.
7. Click Save (9) to apply your changes
Note:If the certification duration is for 1 month, you can only reassign the course to users one week before certification expiration or on certification expiration. |
