How to integrate TalentLMS with Zoom

Zoom.us is a web conferencing service, providing cloud-based audio, video, and screen-sharing solutions for Windows, iOS & Android systems.
TalentLMS lets you integrate your portal with Zoom Meeting or Zoom Webinar to make the most of its advanced video conferencing capabilities. In TalentLMS, you can use Zoom for Conferences and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) units.

Step 1: Select a default video conferencing platform (as Administrator)

First, set Zoom.us as your preferred conference medium.

Here's how:

1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator and go to Home > Account & Settings > Integrations (1).

2. Under the Web Conferencing section, locate Zoom Meeting or Zoom Webinar and select the cog wheel (2).

3. Click the switch (3) to enable it.

4. Set the maximum capacity (4) for your conferences and ILTs, ensuring that it is supported by your Zoom subscription plan. If you leave it at 0, the default Zoom capacity (100) is applied.
5. Click Save (5) for the changes to take effect.

Step 2: Connect your Zoom account to TalentLMS (as an Instructor)

Once you have set Zoom as your preferred conference tool, each Administrator or Instructor will have to connect their own Zoom account by following the steps below:

1. Hover your mouse over your profile name at the top right-hand corner and select My profile (1).

2. Scroll down to the bottom, and under Conference integration tool, select Connect with Zoom.us (2).

3. You will be redirected to Zoom, where you must enter your Zoom account credentials (3) and then select Sign in (4).

4. Once authenticated, you will be presented with the terms and conditions, as well as the permissions required to enable the integration. Read through the text, check the box next to Allow this app to use my shared access permissions (5), and confirm by selecting Allow (6).

5. After the connection has been established, you will be redirected to the TalentLMS profile page where you will get a confirmation message (7). Select Save changes (8) and you are ready to create Conferences or ILTs.
