TalentLMS now offers a powerful new tool for Premium Trial administrators: The Demo mode sandbox environment. It’s automatically created when you start a Premium Trial, and it comes pre-filled with demo users, courses, and data. This fully operational, pre‑populated environment mirrors a live portal, giving you a safe space to explore and test TalentLMS features without affecting your real data.
When your Premium Trial starts, your demo mode sandbox is automatically created at: sandbox{yourdomain}.talentlms.com.
Note: The Demo mode is only available for the portal Account Owner. |
To access it:
1. Make sure you are logged in to your TalentLMS portal as an Administrator
2. On the left sidebar, switch the toggle Demo mode to enable it
3. You’ll be redirected to your very own sandbox environment
4. Once redirected, a clear banner (1) at the top of your screen always lets you know when you’re in the demo mode
Note: You can exit the demo mode environment by switching the toggle off on the left sidebar, or by clicking Exit demo mode on the top banner. |
Your Demo mode includes realistic, ready-to-use demo content.
Specifically, it includes:
- 490 demo users
- 5 courses
- 5 groups
- 4 branches
- 3 automations
- 3 custom reports
These are already populated with activity, so you can experience how TalentLMS works in a live scenario. However, all external communications and most integrations are turned off to keep your demo mode environment secure.
Note: You can edit or delete data from your demo mode environment, but you cannot delete users since the limitations from the Premium Trial are applied. |
As the Account Owner, you can Reset or Delete your demo data environment at any time. To perform these actions:
1. Make sure you’re logged in as Administrator
2. Go to Account & Settings > Portal
3. Under the Demo data section, you can see the following options:
- Reset demo data environment: Revert your demo environment to its original state
- Delete demo data environment: Permanently remove your demo environment
By performing any of the above actions, any changes you made to your demo data will be lost.
Note: The demo environment is active for 14 days, just like your Premium Trial. It is deleted automatically when your trial ends (or if you upgrade early). |
Using your Demo mode sandbox environment, you can try out workflows, settings, and content, and when you're ready, apply what you've learned in your main portal.
