The Instructor and Learner dashboards include the Today and Don’t miss widgets to help users stay on top of key events happening soon or within the same day.
More specifically:
A. The Today widget
The Today widget gives both Learners and Instructors quick access to:
- ILT and Conference sessions they’re registered to that are scheduled for the current day.
- Courses that are set to expire within the same day.
| Note: If there are multiple events on the same day, the widget will prompt you to check your Calendar instead. |
Once the session is about to start:
- Instructors will see a Start button.
- Learners will see a Join button.
| Note: Events that have already started or been completed will not appear. |
B. The Don’t miss widget
This widget highlights important upcoming items across the portal for both Learners and Instructors.
For Learners, the widget shows:
- Courses expiring within the week.

- Today
- This month -
Recent replies to your discussions.
New discussion threads started within the week
| Note: Click Go to discussions (2) to access them quickly. |

Certificates that:
- Are expiring within the month
- Expired within the month - New courses added to the course catalog within the week

For Instructors, the widget shows:
- Assignments and ILT sessions pending grading
| Note: Click Go to Grading Hub (4) to grade them. |
- Courses they’re assigned to that are expiring within the week

- This month - Recent replies in their discussion posts
- New discussion threads started within the week
