In TalentCraft, TalentLMS’s advanced content creation tool, you can create engaging content using various elements such as text, images, video, and others. To make this even more interesting and fun for your Learners, as well as ensure they are paying attention to the material, you can also create interactive videos. Please note this is currently a Beta feature.
How it works
You can upload your video material to TalentCraft and transform passive video watching into active learning by automatically embedding AI-generated quiz questions at key moments in videos.
Note: The ability to add questions to videos is available only for uploaded ones, not for YouTube or Vimeo links.
Here’s how to do it
1. As an Administrator or Instructor, click on Courses (1) and choose to Edit (2) a course or create a new one.
2. Click on Add (3) and select a TalentCraft unit, then choose Start from scratch (4)
3. Select to add Multimedia (5) and click on Change video (6)
4. Choose a video you have previously added to the TalentCraft unit from My Library (7) or Browse (8) on your computer to upload one. If you choose to upload a new video, bear in mind that it might take some time to complete the upload and processing.
5. Click on Add questions (9) to start generating them. You can stop the question generation at any time by clicking on the Stop button.
Note: If you generate a set of questions and click to Add questions once more, the system will ask you if you’d like to replace them. You can click Yes, Replace, or Cancel.
6. Once created, hover over any question, and you can view, edit, or delete (10) them. You also have the option to add more (11) manually.
Note: You can quickly access the questions to test them from the video progress bar by clicking on their location markers.
Editing a question
By choosing to Edit (1) one of the questions, you have the following options:
- You can delete any of the answers (2)
- Mark an answer as correct (3)
- Add another optional answer (4)
- Provide feedback for the responses, either for any response (5) or choose different feedback to be given depending on whether the answer was correct or incorrect
- You can set the Question timing (6), meaning specifying the time in the video when the question will appear
- Set the Rewatch time (7), meaning when exactly the video should replay from, when choosing to rewatch after an incorrect response
Once you are done editing the question, you can choose to exit by clicking on Finish editing (8). If you’d like to clear the question information, click on Clear question (9). This will clear any questions or answers, as well as the feedback, but not the timings, and won’t delete the question itself.
Note: If you’d like to ensure your users watch the video and answer the questions, you can add a section after the video and set it to unlock when Block above is directly completed.
