To keep your learners fully engaged and steadily motivated throughout their training, TalentLMS offers a set of built-in gamification features, including points, badges, levels, rewards, and a leaderboard. These features can be configured to match your training goals and encourage active participation.
Here’s how to access and configure gamification settings:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator, and navigate to Account & Settings (1).
2. Click Gamification (2).
3. Enable the Gamification toggle (3). This activates gamification features for all users across the main portal and any branches.
4. Under the Gamification settings (4) section, enable, disable, or customize individual Gamification options such as Points, Badges, Badge sets, Levels, Rewards, and the Leaderboard (available through the Statistics section).
From here, you can activate or deactivate specific options within each feature and configure how they work; e.g., awarding points for each login, increasing a user’s level after completing a set number of courses, or customizing your badges and setting your default badge set.
How to reset gamification settings
Scroll down to the Statistics section to reset your gamification setup or your users’ gamification statistics. You have the following options:
- Reset to default settings (1) to restore all settings to their initial configuration.
- Reset statistics (2) to clear the total gamification statistics, such as points, levels, and leaderboard rankings. You can apply this across your entire portal or within a specific group or branch, for example, when you want to run repetitive competitions for small periods of time.
