If necessary, TalentLMS lets you prevent users from enrolling in courses by themselves.
To do that, you have two options:
A. Edit the Learner-type
B. Put a price on your courses
Let’s have a closer look.
A. Edit the Learner-type
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Home > User types.
2. Click Learner-type to edit the related permissions (1).
3. On the multi-level nested list, under Learner, click Course catalog and uncheck Acquire courses (2).
Note: If you remove this permission, learners will not be able to access the course catalog at all, so you should add them to courses manually. |
B. Put a price on your courses
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Home > Account & Settings.
2. Go to the E-commerce tab and set up a default payment processor (1) (you can either use PayPal or Stripe).
3. Return to Home and go to Courses.
4. Go to each course page and set the course Price.
From now on, users must first purchase a course before they can access and complete it.
