TalentLMS is launching a new AI-powered test creation feature. This tool is designed to make the assessment process easier. It helps Instructors work more efficiently and keep their tests consistent. It also improves how relevant the content is for Learners. More specifically, you are able to generate tests based on specific course units, helping save time and increase learner engagement.
Note: This feature is available on Grow, Pro and Enterprise plans. |
Here is how you can add an AI-generated test:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or Instructor.
Note: In order to edit a course as an Administrator, you need to be assigned to the course with the Instructor role. |
2. Go to Courses (1) and click Edit (2) on the course you would like to open.
3. Add a new test unit or edit an existing one.
4. From the available question types, select AI generation (3).
5. In the From content tab, select the Units (4) from which you would like to generate the test.
6. Select the Number of questions (5) and choose a Language (6).
Note: Only Multiple choice questions will be created but more will be added in the future. |
7. Click Generate (7). Depending on the content and the number of questions requested this may take some time.
Once processing is complete, you will view the questions and be able to edit, delete or remove them from the test.
Note: Not all unit types can be used to create an AI-generated test. The available unit types are Content units, Video units (when uploaded directly in the portal), Audio units and Document (when uploaded directly in the portal). The maximum number of units you can select is 25. |
If there are no units or only a few units available to generate a test from, you can also use AI to generate questions using prompts.
Here is how:
1. Add a new test or edit an existing one.
2. From the available question types, select once more AI generation.
3. Select the option From description (1).
4. Add your prompt (2) in the relevant field. Providing more detailed prompts leads to the generation of higher quality and more relevant test questions.
5. Select your preferred Number of questions (3) and click Generate (4).
