By default, TalentLMS assigns a generic course image (1) to every new course. However, to help you improve the visual consistency of your portal, you can now set a default course image for your main domain or branches.
Note: You can only set a default course image from the new UI. However, the default course image also applies when users view courses from the Legacy UI. |
This image automatically appears on all courses that don’t have a custom or AI-generated image. This helps you maintain a professional and unified look across your platform.
To set a default course image, follow these steps:
1. As an Administrator, log in to your portal and access Account & Settings (1).
2. Select the Portal (2) tab and scroll down to the section called Branding.
3. Find the Add a default course image option and click the Upload image (3) button.
4. Select your image.
Note: The accepted formats for the files are: GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, with a maximum size of 3 MB. |
5. Click Save (4).
The new default course image now applies to all courses without a custom or AI-generated image.
Main domain and branch behavior
The default course image is set separately for your main domain and each of your branches. This means:
● You can have different default course images for each branch.
● If no default course image is set for a branch, courses in that branch continue to show the default course image of the main portal.
To set a default course image for a branch, follow these steps:
1. As an Administrator, log in to your portal and go to Branches (1). Then select the desired branch (2).
2. On the Info (3) tab, scroll down to the section called Branding.
3. Find the Add a default course image option and click the Upload image (4) button.
4. Select your image.
5. Click Save (5).
Note: The default course image is dynamic and can be configured at the branch level. This means that the image a user sees depends on which branch they’re viewing the course from. Example: If a course is available in both Branch A and Branch B, users visiting the course from Branch A will see the default course image set for Branch A. Meanwhile, users accessing the same course from Branch B will see the image configured for Branch B. |
If you remove a custom course image, the default course image will be used automatically.
