TalentLMS allows you to personalize your domain’s look and feel by creating custom themes both for your main portal and your branches.
Here’s how to create and apply a theme:
A) For the main portal
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator and go to Account & Settings (1) > Portal (2).
2. Scroll down and under the Branding section, click next to Theme (3).
3. Select one of the Preset colors (4) available and click Apply (5), or click Add theme (6) to create your own.
4. Add a Name (7) for your theme.
Note: The name can only contain Latin characters, numbers, and spaces. Special characters are not supported, and a message “This field is not valid” will show up in such cases.
5. Select your preferred Font family (8).
Note: Currently, the following font families are supported: Mulish (the default one), Open Sans, Helvetica, Arial, Montserrat, Lato, Source Sans Pro, Nunito, PT Sans, Poppins, Georgia, Verdana, Rubik, and Axiforma.
6. Select a Theme color for each of the following elements (9) by using their hexadecimal code or more easily using the color picker:
- Primary: This will be the main color you see on loading pages, when you hover over elements, etc.
- Topbar: Change the color of the top bar of your portal.
- Side bar: Change the color of the side menu on the left.
- Buttons: Select a color for the portal’s buttons (e.g., The save/apply buttons)
- Background: Select a color for the portal’s background.
7. Select your preferred Button style (10) between a square or a more rounded appearance.
8. Click Save (11).
Note: You can quickly preview how your main theme colors will look on a laptop or mobile by checking the banner (12) at the top.
9. Make sure your new theme is selected (13) and click Apply (14).
B) For a Branch
Note: You can create your first custom theme directly from the Branch Info tab, but all the rest have to be created through the Account & Settings menu, as described above.
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator, click Branches (1), and select a Branch to edit (2).
2. Scroll down and under the Branding section, click next to Branch theme (3).
3. Select one of the themes (4) and click Apply (5). All the Custom ones will appear at the bottom.
How to work with themes:
After you have created a theme, you can take certain actions besides assigning it to your main domain or branches.
- Delete a theme: You can only do this through Account & Settings, not the Branch theme page. Just hover over the theme you no longer need, and click the Delete (1) button. A modal will appear to confirm this action.
Note: Default (Preset) themes cannot be deleted or edited. If you delete a theme applied to a branch, the branch will be reverted to the default Fun blue theme.
- Edit a theme: You can edit (2) a custom theme either from Account & Settings or the branch theme page. However, if you edit the theme through a branch, the changes will only be applied to that branch. The Name will be kept intact. Theme Names can only be edited through Account & Settings.
