TalentLMS offers powerful AI features to enhance the learning experience. This article covers Playground: A dedicated AI-powered space where all users can safely explore, practice, and improve real-world skills through interactive experiences.
Permissions and setup
To make Playground available to all users in your portal, make sure the following settings are configured:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator, and go to Account & Settings (1).
2. Click Portal (2).
3. Under Portal Settings, enable the Learning Playground (3) option.
4. Click Save (4).
| Note: If the AI features option is disabled, Learning Playground cannot be enabled. |
Once enabled, all users can access Playground directly from the sidebar menu in their portal.
| Note: Playground can be enabled or disabled at the domain or branch level but is not configurable at the user type level. Please also keep in mind that Playground is currently in Beta and available to all paid plans and Premium Trial. This will be enabled by default for portals created after May 25, 2026. |
How to access Playground
When Playground is enabled, any user can open it from the sidebar menu. Inside Playground, users can access a range of AI-powered experiences designed to help them practice skills in a safe, risk-free environment.
Role Play
Role Play allows users to simulate realistic conversations, receive AI-powered feedback, and strengthen their communication skills through guided practice. Interactions can take place via chat or voice prompts.
To access Role Play:
1. Click Playground (1) from the sidebar menu.
2. From the Playground page, click Create role play (2).
3. Select a scenario to begin practicing, or type a custom prompt.
4. Interact with the AI by responding naturally throughout the conversation. You can type your responses or use the microphone to narrate your replies.
Once the session is complete, the AI will provide personalized feedback and guidance to help you improve your communication skills, along with the option to save the transcript (2) for future reference.

Feedback and responses are generated by AI and may vary depending on the user's input. Please also keep in mind that Playground does not offer any reports that can be exported. |
Learn Anything
Learn Anything empowers users to instantly turn any concept into a clear, structured mini course tailored to their level, giving them the freedom to explore any topic they choose at their own pace.
Learn Anything offers two approaches to suit different learning preferences: A straightforward option for those who want to keep things simple and a more advanced option for those looking to take a deeper dive into a topic. In both cases, users can explore anything they need, tailored entirely to their preferences and goals.
Once all chapters are completed, a mini quiz awaits the user to test their knowledge on what they have just learned. All questions are multiple choice, and upon completing the quiz, the user receives a percentage score along with detailed feedback highlighting their correct and incorrect answers.
Once the mini course is complete, users can continue their learning journey by jumping straight into Practice Mode to further reinforce the topic through additional questions. Keep the momentum going!
To access Learn Anything:
1. Click Playground from the sidebar menu.
2. From the Playground page, click Start learning (1).
3. Choose your preferred approach: Simple for a quick overview or Advanced for a deeper dive.
4. Enter a topic or concept you would like to learn about.
5. Work through the generated chapters at your own pace.
6. Once all chapters are complete, take the mini quiz to test your knowledge.
7. Review your score and feedback to see how you did.
Continue practicing by jumping into Practice Mode for additional questions and bonus points.
Practice Mode
With the feature practice mode, users can master any topic with a continuous, adaptive stream of practice questions that adjust to an individual's level in real-time.
How to access Practice Mode
1. Click Playground from the sidebar menu.
2. From the Playground page, click Start practicing (1).
3. Select a topic or enter a custom prompt to begin.
4. Work through the adaptive questions at your own pace.
Simulation Mode
Step into realistic, evolving simulations where the decisions you make directly influence the outcome of a project or business scenario.
How to access Simulation Mode
1. Click Playground from the sidebar menu.
2. From the Playground page, click Enter simulation (1).
3. Select a scenario or enter a custom prompt to begin.
4. Make decisions throughout the simulation by choosing one of the three possible approaches, and see how they shape the outcome.
End the simulation (2) at any time, and review the AI-generated insights and analysis of your performance.
