TalentLMS allows you to create new user profiles manually in various ways. Some of the options are:
- Adding users one by one
- Importing data to mass add users
- Connecting TalentLMS to your SSO provider
- Integrating TalentLMS with your HRIS system
To ensure that new users will be created manually:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Account & Settings (1).
2. Navigate to Users (2) and from the dropdown menu choose Manually (from Admin) as the Signup method (3).
3. Click Save to make your settings take effect.
Note: When you create your portal, the default user signup method is set to Manually (from Admin) and the default user type is set to Learner-Type. There are no preset Password settings, but you can adjust them according to your needs. See how in this article. |
Then, back to your portal’s main dashboard, click Add user (4) to start adding users one-by-one or navigate to the Import - Export (5) to add multiple users to your portal at once.
Note: Usernames and emails must be unique for each user. |
To integrate your TalentLMS portal to your SSO provider:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as Administrator and go to Account & Settings (1).
2. Navigate to Users (2) and at the end of the page and from the SSO integration type dropdown (3) choose the SSO standard you wish to use.
To integrate TalentLMS with your HRIS system:
- If your HRIS system is BambooHR you can use the native TalentLMS and BambooHR integration. To proceed, follow these steps for the connection.
- If your HRIS system is Sage People, you need to sync with an FTP server. To do this, see this article.
- If you use a different HRIS system, you need to utilize the API of your TalentLMS portal. Learn more about working with the API in this article.
Instead of creating users manually, to see ways that the users can self-register, follow this article.
Note: Regardless of any user method chosen, you can always add users individually to your portal or do a mass user import. If you have integrated SSO, API or SFTP, users are still able to be signed up with this method enabled. |
