TalentLMS lets you link multiple Instructor-led Training (ILT) sessions together to create a multi-day session that breaks an event into a sequence of lessons (e.g., two hours of teaching and an hour-long exam). Multi-day sessions share the same users and seat capacity.
To create an ILT session, read this article.
If you have a course with an already existing ILT session, you can follow these steps to edit the course and convert the existing ILT session into a multi-day ILT session.
Here are the steps:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or an Instructor and go to Courses (1), open the course you wish to update, and then click the Edit course button (2).
2. Click the ILT unit (3) you wish to edit. Add more ILT sessions by selecting the respective icon (4) at the bottom of the page as needed. An Add online session drawer will open on the right-hand side of your screen.
To schedule a multi-day ILT session, i.e. an ILT that spans multiple sessions, move the slider to Create a multi-session (5) and then link it to a previous session.
Once linked, these sessions will form a single multi-day session.
On the other hand, if you don’t enable the Create a multi-session option, your ILT unit will include more than one session, but those sessions will be independent, and you can register your Learners for any of them.
Note: If at least one of the linked sessions is a webinar that uses the TalentLMS natively integrated video conference tool, certain restrictions may apply (see this article). |
On the course view page, your Learners can see the multi-day session as a group of sessions (1) to which they can register at once.
Sessions that are part of a multi-day session are nested together under the multi-session entry (2). They all share the same users, capacity, and assigned color.
