For a better Learner experience, TalentLMS gives you the option to upload a poster image as a video thumbnail for video units you’ve uploaded to the platform. This will show before a Learner clicks on the Play button to view the video.

To add a poster image (thumbnail) to your video:

1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or  Instructor, go to Courses, click on the course you want to update, and click Edit course. The course editor page will open.
2. Click the three-dot icon (1) to open the menu next to the video unit you need to add a thumbnail to and choose Unit options (2).

3. Enable the Use a poster image (3) option.
4. Select a file to upload or drag and drop it into the designated area (4).

5. Click Save (5), and your thumbnail will show up when learners start the video unit.
