TalentLMS supports content versioning to let you keep an audit trail of all the changes made to your content. Whenever a content item changes, TalentLMS saves a backup for you to roll back to prior versions anytime you need, letting you choose your preferred version directly from the editor.
Note: Content versioning is not supported for SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, Test, Survey, ILT, and TalentCraft units. |
To see content versioning in action, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Instructor and go to a course page.
2. Point to a unit you have updated at least once and click the vertical ellipsis (1).
3. In the drop-down list, click the Version history (2) option.
4. In the following window, you’ll see the entire Version history (3) of the unit. The top item in the version list (4) is the last stored version, and the bottom item (5) is the original version.
5. Click the version you want to Rollback to (6).
6. Then, click Restore (7) to confirm.
7. To finalize the unit's restoration, you will need to Publish the changes (8) for either the entire course or just the unit.
Note: When a version is restored, it’s moved to the top of the list (9) as the latest stored version. The number of versions on the list will increase as you restore any previous items. Please note that you can restore up to the last 20 versions of a unit. |
