When it comes to reporting, TalentLMS allows you to choose from a wide range of Reports to ensure you get the exact data you need. These include:
- Users
- Courses
- Branches
- Groups
- Learning activities
- Training matrix
- Timeline
- Custom
Overview/Training progress
As an Administrator, click Reports (1) to access the Overview (2) tab. Here, you can see a quick overview of the portal’s Stats, Activity, and Course progress, as well as quick links to access all other Report options.
From here, you can also export the Training progress report, which is an overview of the whole portal and is downloaded as an Excel file.
To download and access the Training progress Report, go to Reports and click the Training progress (1) button. It can also be set as a scheduled report (2), so that it's automatically delivered to the recipients of your choice, at certain intervals.
The exported Training progress report contains detailed information such as active users, assigned courses, and completed courses (3). You can switch tabs from Overview to Training progress, Courses, Users, and Timeline (4), which will provide you with useful data about your portal.
Training matrix
You can access the Training matrix (1) tab to find a visual presentation of the Training progress report.

Timeline
The Timeline records and stores nearly every event that occurs on your TalentLMS portal. To see the timeline, click the Timeline tab (1) under Reports. You can choose an event (2), such as "Added user to course", then add a filter for the period you wish to see data from (3) and even filter results for a specific user (4) and/or a specific course (5).

Other types of reports:
- User Reports
Go to Reports > Users to see valuable information about your users, such as Last Login, Assigned and Completed Courses, and any custom fields that you have created and set to be visible on reports. Find out more about User reports here.
- Course Reports
Go to Reports > Courses and click the course for which you want a report to view the reports for Users, Learning activities, Unit matrix, and even the Timeline specific to the course you want a report on. Find out more about Course reports here.
- Learning activities
To access the Learning activities report, as an Administrator, go to Reports > Learning activities.
Learning activities give you a quick and easy progress overview for multiple users and units simultaneously on the following unit types: Assignments, ILTs, SCORMs, Surveys, and Tests.

- Custom
Go to Reports > Custom to create your own Custom reports and narrow down report results to the specific groups of users you want.
