The Learning Path report in TalentLMS helps you track completion rates, progress, and activity for all your Learning Paths. From a high‑level overview to detailed user activity, these reports provide Administrators with the data they need to measure training effectiveness.
Access the Learning Path report
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or an Instructor, and go to Reports (1) from the left‑side menu.
2. Under Reports, select Learning Paths (2).
Here you’ll see:
- Completion rate (3): Overall percentage of completed Learning Paths.
- Learner counts (4): Number of completed learners, learners in progress, learners not passed, and learners not started.
- Training time (5): Total time spent on Learning Paths.
Below, you’ll find a list of all your Learning Paths (6), including:
- Name
- Code
- Category
- Assigned learners
- Completed learners
Click Preview (7) next to a path to view its detailed report.
A. Overview tab
The Overview tab (1) gives you a visual summary of user progress and engagement with the learning path. It appears first when you open any Learning Path report.
Here’s what you’ll find in this tab:
i. Overview widget (2): A quick snapshot of key metrics.
- Completion rate: The percentage of users who have completed all courses in the learning path.
- Completed courses: The total number of completed course instances across users.
- Courses in progress: Courses that users have started but not yet finished.
- Courses not passed: Courses that users have completed but failed to pass (according to the course's pass criteria).
- Courses not started: Courses assigned through the learning path that users haven’t accessed yet.
- Training time: The total time users have spent on the learning path.
ii. Courses with the highest completion rate (3): A ranked list of courses within the learning path, based on their completion percentage. This helps you quickly identify which courses users are progressing through most successfully.
iii. Courses chart (4): A colored pie chart that visually breaks down course statuses.
- Green: Completed
- Orange: In progress
- Grey: Not started
- Red: Not passed
iv. Activity chart (5): A bar graph showing user activity over time. You can toggle the time filter (e.g., Month) to view logins and course completions across different periods.
- Blue bars represent logins
- Green bars represent course completions

B. Review user activity in a Learning Path
1. On the Users (1) tab, see a list of enrolled Learners and Instructors.
2. For each user, check their Progress status, Completion date, Time spent, and any custom fields (e.g., Qualified) (2).
Use the icons on the right:
- Eye (3): Open the user’s detailed User report.
- Download (4): Download the user’s certificate.
- Certificate (5): Preview the user’s certificate.
C. Review course activity in a Learning Path
1. On the Courses (1) tab, see all courses included in the Learning Path.
2. For each course, check its Name, Course code, Category, and the ratio of Completed/Assigned learners (2).
3. Click the Eye (3) icon to open the Course report for more details.
D. Review the timeline of a Learning Path
On the Timeline (1) tab, see a chronological list of all events related to the Learning Path.
Events (2) include user enrollments, completions, removals, and other activity.
With Learning Path reports, you can track both individual Learner progress and overall program performance, helping you optimize training and measure impact.
