TalentLMS allows you to schedule your reports and email them to your preferred recipients automatically.
To set up your first scheduled report:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator and go to Reports (1).
2. Select the type of report to schedule (i.e., User reports, Course reports, etc.).
3. Then, open the particular report you want to schedule.
4. Click the arrow on the green Export in Excel button and, from the drop-down list, choose Schedule (2).
A Schedule reports drawer will open on the right-hand side of your screen. You have two options:
A. Scheduling the report to be sent on a specific day every X weeks
B. Scheduling the report to be sent on a specific date every X months
Let’s look at each option.
A. To schedule the report to be sent on a specific day every X weeks:
1. Under the Configuration tab, make sure the cycle is set to weeks (1).
2. Toggle the slider (2) to choose the frequency the report will be sent, e.g., every 3 weeks.
3. Use the Specific day drop-down list to choose the day of the week on which the reports will be sent, e.g., Mondays (3).
4. Click the Add custom recipients button (4) and type the recipients’ email addresses in the relevant field (5). You can separate each email address using the Tab or Enter keys.
If you have a list of email addresses you’d like to paste, click the Edit mode button (6) first and then paste the addresses. A semicolon must separate each email address ‘’;’’.

5. Once you’re done configuring your settings, click Schedule (7) to schedule your report.
Note: If the day you scheduled your report has already passed this week, the first report will be sent out with the next cycle in X weeks. If the day you scheduled your first report is the same as today, the report will be sent out with the next cycle as well. |
B. To schedule the report to be sent on a specific date every X months:
1. Under the Configuration tab, set the cycle to months (1).
2. Toggle the slider (2) to choose the frequency the report will be sent, e.g., every 6 months.
3. Use the On day drop-down list (3) to choose the day in the month on which the reports will be sent, e.g., the 1st of each month.
4. Click the Add custom recipients button (4) and type the recipients’ email addresses (5), separating each email address using the Tab or Enter keys. Alternatively, click the Edit mode button (6) and paste a list of email addresses separated by semicolons ‘’;’’.
Note: The recipients’ email addresses don’t need to be associated with registered user accounts on your portal. They can also be external email addresses. |
5. Once you’ve configured your settings, click Schedule (7) to schedule your report.

From now on, when you click the arrow button (1) next to Export in Excel for this report, you will see the next date your upcoming scheduled report is expected to arrive, along with how often it’s scheduled to be sent (2).
