In TalentLMS, you can define how users progress through the units of a course. The available options are in any order or in a sequential order.
Here's how they work:
In any order
Users can access and complete the course units in any order they prefer. Completion is not required to move to the next unit. They can navigate using the menu (1) on the left-hand side.
They can also click on the Skip (2) button to go to the next unit without completing it.
In a sequential order
Users must complete each unit in order before moving forward. The next unit is greyed out and only becomes available after the current one is completed.
To mark a unit as complete, learners need to click on the Next (3) button to complete the current and move to the next unit. The first time a Learner accesses a course, a pop-up (4) will be shown, guiding them on how to navigate the course units.

How to modify unit ordering settings for a course
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS portal as an Instructor, then go to Courses (1).
2. Click Edit (2) next to the course you want to modify. The course editor page will open.
3. Click the Course options (3) icon, then select Completion (4) from the dropdown menu.
4. In the Units ordering section, choose your preferred option (5).
5. Click Save (6) to apply your changes.
