TalentLMS allows you to make courses available in the course catalog and manage which users can self-enroll in certain courses using course enrollment requests.
A. How to enable course enrollment requests for a course:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or an Instructor, and go to Courses (1).
2. Hover over an existing course and click Edit (2).
| Note: Alternatively, click Add course to create a new course. |
3. Click Course options (3) (gear icon).
4. A drawer will open on the right side of your screen. Under the Availability tab, toggle the Enable enrollment request (4) option to enable it.
5. Click Save (5) to save your changes.
From now on, users will be able to request to self-enroll to this course and the course Instructors will be able to accept or decline the request.
| Note: This setting cannot be enabled if the course also has a price assigned. With an assigned price, users pay to access the course immediately with no need for further approval. |
B. How to approve/decline requests:
1. Sign in to your TalentLMS account as an Administrator or an Instructor, and go to Courses (1).
2. Click a course (2) you'd like to check enrollment requests for.
3. Click Enrollment requests (3).
4. Hover over a user, and click the checkmark (4) icon to approve their request (or, click the x icon to decline their request).
| Note: Use the Search (5) option to search for specific users. Use the Filter (6) option to filter by a specific group or branch. |
| Note: Select multiple users at once by clicking the checkbox (7) next to their name. This allows you to use Mass actions (8) to bulk accept or decline requests. |
What actions can the Learners take:
Learners have access to this feature through their course catalog. More specifically, if a course has the Enrollment requests feature enabled, they can:
- Request access to the course (1): They will request permission to self-enroll in this course, which will be sent for approval to the course Instructors.
- Cancel access request (2): While their request is still pending, Learners can cancel their access request.
