To interact with their instructors and engage with their courses even more, TalentLMS lets users submit assignments as captured video or audio files.
When learners access an assignment unit, they see the assignment description and five available options for submitting an answer:
- Text reply: Type the answer in the text area.
- Upload a file: Submit the answer as a file uploaded from the local disk.
- Record video: Submit a captured video file.
- Record audio: Submit a recorded audio file.
- Record screen: Submit a screen recording.
Note: You can configure the available assignment reply options, as described here. |
If a learner wants to answer with a video or an audio recording:
1. Click Record video (1) or Record audio (2).
Note: If it’s the first time using TalentLMS to capture video or audio, the browser may prompt the user to allow access to their camera and microphone (3). |
2. Click Start recording (4) to begin.
3. Click Stop recording (5) to finish.
4. Click Play (6) to preview the recording.
Note: The minimum allowed recording duration is 5 seconds. The maximum is 1 hour. Recordings outside this range cannot be submitted. |
Note: Click Record again (7) to start over or Cancel (8) to select a different reply method. |
5. Click Submit (9) to submit your recording.
Note: If the instructor doesn’t accept the answer immediately, the learner can return to the assignment page and edit the submission. Administrators can view the latest and up to six previous attempts from Reports > Learning activities, by selecting the assignment unit and viewing a user’s submissions. |
Note: The video and audio recording feature is not supported in Internet Explorer. |
