To enhance engagement, TalentLMS lets learners submit their assignments by recording and sharing their screen.
When learners access an assignment unit, they see the assignment description and five options for submitting an answer:
- Text reply: Type the answer in the text editor
- Upload a file: Submit a file from the local disk
- Record video: Submit a captured video file
- Record audio: Submit a recorded audio file
- Record screen: Submit a screen recording
Note: You can configure the available reply options as described here. |
If a Learner wants to answer with a screen recording:
1. Click Record screen (1).
2. In the pop-up dialog, choose one of the following:
- Browser Tab: Share a specific browser tab
- Window: Share an application window
- Entire Screen: Share the full screen
3. Select (2) the item you want to record and click Share (3).
Note: If it’s your first time recording, your browser may ask for permission to access your microphone (4). |
4. Click Start recording (5) to begin.
Note: Audio is recorded during screen sharing. |
5. When done, click Stop recording (6).
6. Click Play (7) to preview your recording.
Note: The recording must be between 5 seconds and 1 hour. Anything shorter or longer can’t be submitted. Click Record again (8) to redo or Cancel (9) to choose another submission method. |
7. Click Submit (10) to upload your recording.
Note: Upload time depends on recording length. If the instructor hasn’t graded the submission yet, the learner can return to edit it. Admins can view the latest and up to six previous attempts by going to Reports > Learning activities, selecting the assignment, and reviewing a user’s submissions. |
