Every TalentLMS portal has a single Account Owner, usually the person who first registered it. This role is unique, cannot be deleted by other users, and can’t be transferred via the interface. But no worries, if the ownership of your portal needs to be reassigned, we’re here to help. There are a few different scenarios depending on who makes the request.
A. When the request comes from the current account owner
If you're the current owner of the portal and wish to transfer ownership, simply contact us from your registered email address. Your request should include the full name and email address of the new owner. Make sure the new owner is already a SuperAdmin in the portal.
Once we verify your request, we’ll complete the ownership transfer.
B. When the current owner is no longer with the company
If the account owner has left the company or isn’t available to confirm the change, the request must come from someone legally authorized to act on behalf of the invoiced entity.
To proceed, we’ll need:
- A certificate of incumbency (or a similar document) listing authorized company representatives
- An official signed letter from one of those representatives confirming:
- The current owner’s name and email, and that their employment has ended
- The new owner’s name and email
- That your organization is the sole and exclusive owner of the TalentLMS portal and its content
We will then update the portal owner and create a new SuperAdmin account if needed.
C. When the company name doesn’t match our records
In cases where the company name or email domain in the request doesn’t match the invoiced entity on file, in addition to the documents above (see section B), we’ll need:
- An official name change certificate, if your company has rebranded or merged, or
- Scans of the credit card used for payment (showing only the first 6 and last 4 digits), if you signed up under a trading name
These additional checks help us ensure the request is legitimate.
| Note: All submitted documents must be signed by an authorized representative of the invoiced entity. |
